SOLD OUT! The Swell Season: Tonight!
with Joshua James Academy award-winning artists -- better known as Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova will perform from their eponymous debut album.
Irish singer/songwriter Hansard--who doubles as frontman for Dublin rockers The Frames -- and Czech singer/pianist Irglova produced their self-titled debut in 2006, representing Hansard's first release outside of his work with The Frames. The album contains the song "Falling Slowly," featured in the film "Once," in which Hansard and Irglova also starred.
"Falling Slowly" earned the pair the Oscar for Best Original Song at last month's Academy Awards ceremony, in which Irglova was famously cut off following Hansard's acceptance speech and later personally invited back onstage by host Jon Stewart to give her thanks for the award.
